Principal of Product Design, December 2023 – Present

I started as the Principal of Product Design for Commerce and recently moved into a broader role across all Platforms teams (including additional experiences like membership, navigation, and payments). I’m the “individual contributor” partner to a design director who leans in on people management, while I dive deep on design work, like:

• Coaching designers on craft, cross-functional collaboration and communication
• Designing and prototyping a strategic direction for Yahoo Shopping
• Driving Yahoo's inaugural design mentorship program, fostering cross-disciplinary development and collaboration among designers across organizational boundaries
• Working with Head of Product Design to establish and refine design critique guidance and operations
• Advocating for and conducting UX research to drive informed product and design decisions
• Orchestrating retrospectives, workshops, and design sprints to streamline processes and foster collaboration

IC Design Lead, Essentials Pillar September – October 2023

IC Design Lead, Align + Coordinate Areas January – September 2023

I was a principal designer (aka “IC Design Lead”) for Asana’s NYC-based product areas, Align and Coordinate, spanning 7 squads. Before I left, I was promoted into a similar but more expansive role across all program teams under the Essentials pillar, spanning features from Tasks and Projects to Workflow and Pay products.

In both roles, my responsibilities included defining “quality,” elevating design craft and execution, connecting the dots across all product surfaces, mentoring designers, and filling whitespace as a product designer on ambiguous, high-impact programs. I helped drive and define an executable strategy to improve the atomic element of Asana, tasks, as well as a new use case for the business overall.
